Archbishop Prendergast has given our community his blessing to establish a Divine Mercy prayer line(613-482-3388) here in the Diocese to pray for the sick, the dying, those in need of healing, and those in need of knowing God’s love and mercy in and through the person of Jesus Christ who is the Mercy of God!
This email to you then is to ask if you would be willing to be part of a team in the Diocese that would pray when a request comes in?
Many of you know the promises that Jesus gave to St. Faustina for those who in trust, would pray the Chaplet that He Himself had given to her. Jesus said to St. Faustina:
“My daughter, encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given to you. It pleases me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet…You know the whole abyss of My mercy, so draw upon it for yourself and especially poor sinners. Sooner would Heaven and earth turn into nothingness than would My mercy not embrace a trusting soul.” (Diary, 1777)
Our hope and prayer is that so many souls will pray with us for each request that our voices will be as a choir of mercy to our Heavenly Father who will then, with great compassion and grace, shower the request with His Mercy. The more trusting souls we have to pray the greater will be the grace!
When a request comes to you, if you would, at some time during that day, pray at least one decade of the Chaplet or if possible the whole chaplet for those intentions.
If you might also ask friends and family to be part of this apostleship of mercy we can and will win so many souls for Christ!
If you do wish to be a part of this work please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you and bless you in His Mercy
